Provided the structural, architectural, civil, mechanical, instrumentation and process engineering for Amoco's new 7,000 SF hydrocarbon test facility. As the building contains both hydrocarbons and natural gas, safety was the major design criterion. The 8160 CFM ventilation system was designed to prevent explosive mixtures which could result from accidental spills, and the process engineering dealt with both explosive and corrosive materials. The facility also included a mixing tank, knock engine test equipment and chilled water cooling coils. Additional services provided included estimating, specifications and construction observation.
